Biography

Jiawang Chen has awarded his Ph.D from Construction Engineering College, Jilin University in 2007. His major is Geo-Tech Engineering. Now he is the director of the institute of marine mechatronics engineering, Donghai Laboratory of Zhejiang, and before that, he was the institute of ocean engineering, Zhejiang University. Foreseeing the urgent requirement on the development of ocean innovation instruments, my research mainly focused on the research of offshore pipeline and submarine cable operation and maintenance technology, deep-sea pressure sampling technology, deep-sea pressure transfer and treatment technology, deep-sea remote operated vehicles technologies and seafloor in-situ monitoring technology. To date, he has published more than 100 papers in the research field of ocean technology and equipment. He also has been granted 60 invention patents, including multiple international and domestic patents.
