Biography

Roberto Baiocco is a Full Professor of Developmental psychology at the Faculty of Medicine and Psychology, Sapienza University of Rome. Prof. Baiocco has research interests in two areas: (1) psychological and relational well-being of sexual and gender minority people (LGBTQIA+) during development; (2) access and utilization of healthcare services by elders LGBTQIA+ people.

Since 2008, prof. Baiocco has been the Director of the Counseling Service named “BE as you ARE” (Faculty of Medicine and Psychology, Sapienza University of Rome), which offers support and understanding, listening, and responding to LGBTQIA+ people who are facing problems related to sexual orientation or gender identity.
