Biography
Guillem Vich is a PhD researcher at the GEMOTT research group. He has graduated in Sociology and currently a doctoral candidate in Geography. The area of research is the space-time dimension of daily mobility and proximity dynamics. Specifically, he aims at analysing the factors favouring local dynamics: spatial (built environment, urban form…), time-related, perception (well-being, satisfaction…) or socio-demographic (gender, age, social status…). Moreover, he explores the possibilities that new data sources (such as GPS, smartphone apps, etc.) are bringing to the study of mobility patterns and perception of space. Finally, he took part in the organisation and analysis of the first tracking experiment at the Autonomous University of Barcelona in 2015.
