Biography

Member of the George P. and Cynthia Woods Mitchell Institute for Fundamental Physics and Astronomy. Co-discoverer of Nova Cygni 1978. Co-discoverer of gamma Doradus-type variable stars. Since 1999 has worked on photometry and spectra of supernovae, mostly Type Ia's. Appeared in episode 1 of a 6 part PBS series The Astronomers (1991).
