Biography

Dr Lau is assistant professor in the School of Public Health, the University of Hong Kong. He graduated with a PhD in statistics at the University of Hong Kong. Dr Lau is interested in transmission dynamics of infectious diseases, and situation awareness of disease activity using multiple surveillance data sources. He is currently working on infectious disease surveillance, statistical and mathematical modelling of COVID-19, hand, foot and mouth disease, scarlet fever and influenza in human and poultry.
