Biography

Lecturer at University of Glasgow Medical School & Deputy Director of the Health Professions Education Program

Visiting Researcher at Lancaster Medical School using Raman spectroscopy to investigate bone chemistry. Researching mineral and collagen changes with ageing and disease, specifically Osteogenesis imperfecta (brittle bone disease). Also investigating ageing and diseases, such as Osteoarthritis, in archaeological human bone from Thornton Abbey and The Mary Rose.

Experienced prosector and anatomist with a background in anatomical sciences, osteoarchaeology, palaeoanthropology, and forensic medical sciences.

Anatomical Society Council Member and human burials site supervisor at The Poulton Project.
