Biography
I am a molecular biologist (PhD) with 7 years of research experience from the Lourido Lab at the Whitehead Institute of MIT. In my research, I optimized and established CRISPR-based tools for gene-editing in the human parasite Toxoplasma gondii—whereby I also outlined some starting points for employing CRISPR interference. I also generated a genomic dataset of transcription initiation events, and defined the major transcription start sites for the majority (7603 or ~91%) of protein-coding genes. These data are available through my publication and the Toxoplasma Genome Database (ToxoDB). Please get in touch if you have any feedback or questions about my work.
