Biography

Postdoctoral alumni at the Department of Pharmacy and Biotechnology at the University of Bologna – Italy. PhD in Chemistry from the State University of Campinas – Brazil, M.S. in Organic Chemistry from the same institution, and B.S. in Chemistry from the National University of Engineering – Peru. Specialized in medicinal chemistry, organic synthesis, and drug discovery. Research focus on the synthesis of bioactive compounds using medicinal chemistry strategies: design, planning, development, synthesis, and optimization of bioactive compounds. Research projects centered on neglected and infectious diseases: Chagas disease and Leishmania. Approaches employed include small molecules and PROTACs. Additional experience in scientific communication and founder of the initiative "Drug Discovery Peru", a platform connecting with Peruvian students and researchers. Teaching experience in Organic Chemistry and serving as co-supervisor at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
