Biography
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from the University of Guayaquil, Ecuador, and two master’s degrees in Nursing: one with a focus on Health Promotion from the Universidade Federal do Ceará (UFC), Brazil, and another with a specialization in Health Management from the International Iberoamerican University of Mexico (UNINI-MX). Currently, I am in the second year of my PhD in Nursing at UFC and am undertaking a six-month Sandwich PhD program at the University of Dundee, Scotland.
In the clinical field, I have experience in Primary Health Care and Palliative Care. In terms of research, I serve as the Scientific Coordinator of the Nursing Network for the Health of Older Adults (RED-ESAM) in Ecuador and am an active member of the Breast Cancer Research Group (GECAM-UFC) and the RED-ESAM Ecuador research group. Throughout my academic and research training, I have had the opportunity to write, co-author, and publish various articles in high-impact journals, resulting from collaborations in areas such as palliative care and oncology, transgender health, and the health of older adults, among others.
