Biography

Dapeng Cao is a Professor and Director of the Division of Molecular and Materials Simulation, State Key Lab for Organic-Inorganic Composites at the Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT). He received his Ph D from BUCT in 2002, and was a research scientist at NanoMaterials Technology Pte Ltd in Singapore (2002-2003) and a postdoctoral researcher at the University of California, Riverside (2003-2005). His research interests are focused on the designed synthesis of energy and catalysis materials, luminescent sensor materials, adsorption and separation materials. He has published more than 260 articles in academic journals such as Nature Catalysis, PNAS, J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Adv. Mater., Energy Environ. Sci. These articles have been cited by US DOE annual report, Science and Nature Materials etc. Some achievements were also reported by Chemical Engineering News, Science Daily, Controlled Environmental Magazine and Nanowerk medium etc. He has won The First Prize (Natural Science) and Second prize (Natural Science) of Scientific and Technical Awards of Ministry of Education of China at 2013 and 2008, and SCOPUS Young Researcher Award at 2010. He was appointed as the Associate Editor of 《Eng. Sci.》 and Editorial Board member of 《Sci. Rep.》,《ISRN Chem. Eng.》,《J. Chem.》and《Am. Macromol. Sci.》
