Dr. Yao Liang received a Ph.D. degree in physics from the Swinburne University of Technology, Victory, Australia, in November 2020. After that, he worked as a joint postdoc at Australian National University / Swinburne University of Technology supervised by Prof. Yuri Kivshar and Prof. Baohua Jia from November 2020 to November 2021. From December 2021, he works as a postdoc researcher at the City University of Hong Kong under the supervision of Prof. Din Ping Tsai.

He has published more than 30 peer-review papers including those in Physical Review Letters, Nano Letters, Nature Communications, Science Advances, Chemical Reviews, Nanophotonics, Nanoscale, Optics Express, Optics Letters, Photonics Research, Advanced Functional Materials, and Laser &Photonics Reviews.

He is a member of Optica (formerly OSA).

He was awarded the “Chinese government award for outstanding self-finance students abroad” by China Scholarship Council in 2020.

He was awarded “IOP trusted reviewer” in 2021 and 2023.

He is the reviewer for more than 30 Journals, including Science Advances, Nano Letters, Advanced Functional Materials, Applied Physics Letters, Optics Letters, Photonics Research, Advanced Optical Materials, Laser & Photonics Reviews, and many others.
