Biography
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry at the Federal University of São Carlos (2007), master's degree in Chemistry (Area: Analytical and Inorganic Chemistry) and PhD in Chemistry (Area: Analytical and Inorganic Chemistry) at Chemistry Institute of São Carlos, University of São Paulo (2014). Sandwich doctorate at Universität Stuttgart (Institut für Polymerchemie), Germany in the period 2012-2013. Has experience in Inorganic Chemistry, with emphasis on Organometallic Compounds, Homogeneous Catalysis, Polymers, mainly on the following topics: olefin metathesis, ROMP, ancillary ligands and ruthenium. Post-doctorate at the Chemistry Institute of the University of São Paulo at the Nanomaterials and Catalysis Laboratory (2014-2018) as a FAPESP fellow, working on the catalytic oxidation of alcohols and substrates from renewable sources (HMF and sugars) by Au and AuPd nanoparticles. Expertise in catalysis with metallic nanoparticles, oxidation and esterification reactions. BEPE postdoctoral internship in the VAALBIO group (Valorisation de la biomasse) at Université de Lille, France in the period 2017-2018, working on the development of Au, Pd and AuPd catalysts for the transformation of bioderivatives such as HMF, furfural and sugars in absence of base (oxidation reactions, oxidative esterification, and hydrogenation). Then, a post-doctorate at Ecole Centrale in Lille, France (2018-2020) was part of an industrial project with Weylchem Lamotte S.A. on understanding the hydrogenolysis reactions with Ni catalysts. At this moment, works in a project of alkylation of furfural at Ecole Centrale in Lille, France.
