Biography

Professor Liu received his Ph.D degree in Physics Chemistry from Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter, Chinese Academy of Sciences (FJIRSM, CAS, 2006), his M.S degree in Inorganic Chemistry from Nankai University(2003), his B.S degree in Chemistry from Xinyang Normal University(2000). He joined the faculty at Chongqing Normal University in 2006 and was promoted to be a full professor in 2009. He was awarded a cholarship under the State Scholarship Found sponsored by the China Scholarship Council (CSC) in 2009, and studied at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as a postdoctoral researcher for 12 months.
Professor Liu’s research encompasses the synthesis, structure, and property characterization of inorganic, organic or inorganic-organic photoluminescent, electronic, magnetic functional materials, especially for metal-organic frameworks/polyhedra, zeolitic imidazolate frameworks, and covalent organic frameworks. The interests are mainly focus on designing synthetic methods to prepare expected materials, exploring the relationships of structural features and physical properties, and regulating their structures and properties.
