Biography
Dr. Bijan Mondal completed his Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of Burdwan in 2009, followed by a Master's degree in Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras in 2011. During his Master's program, he conducted research for a year in the group of Prof. Sundargopal Ghosh. Later, he joined the same research group to pursue his doctoral studies in transition metal boron chemistry. He received his PhD in 2017 with an Institutional Research Award for the quality and quantity of his research work. After completing his PhD, he gained industrial experience by working at the Analytical Division of Hindustan Petroleum Research and Development Center in Bengaluru, India. In 2019, he moved to Germany as a Humboldt Research Fellow to work with Prof. Manfred Scheer on transition metal phosphorous and arsenic compounds.
