Biography
PhD Architect, MArch in Urbanism and MSc in Fine and Visual Arts Teaching by the University of A Coruña. Her doctoral dissertation, entitled Courtyards of Silence, was directed by Professor PhD Miguel Ángel Alonso del Val and Professor PhD Luis Suárez Mansilla, from the University of Navarra and deserved the highest grade. Lecturer of Architectural Design at the Department of Architectural Design, Urban Planning and Composition, ETSAC, University of A Coruña from 2008. Visiting Lecturer at the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) in Dominican Republic, the Harbin Institute of Technology in China and the Master Programme in Lanscape Design, organised by Fundación Juana de Vega, A Coruña. Member of the research group pARQc (Architecture and City) at the University of A Coruña. As a researcher, she is interested on architecture and emotions, aesthetic appraisal of architecture, people-environment studies and qualitative methodologies. Her papers have been published in indexed journals, like BaC, RITA and Zarch. As an architect, she built retail stores for Zara in 12 different countries, including, most notably, the outstanding refurbishment of the former church of San Antonio el Real in Salamanca, which was awarded a prize and was published in several books, magazines and specialized blogs. She founded Cohr Architects, a collaborative structure of architects and other professionals which aim is to address the recuperation of architectural heritage from the background of people-environment studies. They are building the refurbishment of a baroque palace in the old city of A Coruña (declared Property of Cultural Interest) and also a former school in the outskirts of the city, both to accommodate the use of single-family houses. She is also a partner of Cerletti&Cohr, an illustration and editorial design studio, whose more well-known creation is the comic strip of Ema&Emo.
