Biography

I am an early career scientist, with amble expertise in microbial ecology and water quality with >5 years of research experience and >2 year teaching experience. I have applied a range of microbiological techniques including light microscopy, fluorescence microscopy, standard culturing and molecular sequencing methods to study the microbiology of various samples including groundwater, soil, and plastisphere. I have a strong passion in microbial ecology and aspires to advance it by exploring the microbiology of understudied ecosystems such as the Africa’s freshwaters and extreme environments by applying cutting-edge microbiological techniques.
