Biography
Travis E. Grotz, M.D. is a surgical oncologist at Mayo Clinic with expertise in the management of gastric cancer, sarcoma and peritoneal surface malignancies. His clinical and translational research involves molecular detection of peritoneal metastasis, and treatment of peritoneal carcinomatosis. He is a member of the NCCN guidelines subgroup for peritoneal mesothelioma, a member of the American College of Surgeons Cancer Cancer Research Program Cancer Standards Committee and serves as a scientific/medical advisor for Debbie's Dream foundation, and the Mesothelioma Research Foundation. He is on the editorial board of Annals of Surgical Oncology and he is the principal investigator on several clinical trials evaluating peritoneal based treatments.
He offers both minimally invasive robotic cancer operations as well as radical multi-organ resections for locally advanced tumors.
