Biography
Dr. Muhammad Nur Amir bin Abdul Rassip (Muhammad Nur Amir AR) received his medical degree from the Russian National Research Medical University (2012) and pursued his postgraduate education in Masters in Community Health Sciences from the National University of Malaysia. He served as a clinician in public health facilities until 2016 before joining the Institute for Health Management as a research medical officer. His main interests are in areas of health policy, health financing, and general public health. He is actively involved in policy changing studies and has published papers locally and abroad. His study on "Evaluation of Full Paying Patient Services in Malaysia" (NMRR-17-536-35290), as co-investigator for "Prevalence of Burnout among Nurses and Assistant Medical Officers in the Ministry of Health Malaysia," and as co-author of "House Officer with Extension: How Soon Can They Finish Housemanship," was taken up by policymakers to improve human resource management in Malaysia, especially among clinical specialists, junior doctors, and paramedics. He is also involved in community volunteerism and NGO activities, and he coordinates numerous trainings for Malaysian Ministry of Health personnel.
