Biography

Asheer is a CA(SA) and Associate Professor at the Margo Steele School of Accountancy at Wits University. Asheer is the Head of the Taxation Division and teaches at various levels from undergraduate to Masters.

Asheer's research is mainly qualitative with a focus on integrated reporting, tax policy and governance. Asheer also has a keen interest in crypto assets and distributed ledger technology, with many papers and student research reports concentrated in this area.
