Biography
He received his PhD in Chemical Engineering at Technische Universiteit Eindhoven (TU Eindhoven) on the topic “Nanostructured Catalytic Films for Multiphase Microstructured Reactors” (Advisor: Prof. Jaap C. Schouten). He obtained his MSc in Chemical Engineering from Technische Universiteit Delft (TU Delft) with MSc research on Zeolite Membranes from MTT and TON Structures (Advisor: Prof. Em. Koos Jansen).
His current activities are mainly in zeolite catalysts for selective production of propylene from naphtha cracking and 'methanol-to-propylene'. Prior to joining CENT at KFUPM as an Assistant Professor, he worked as a Research Associate at The Petroleum Institute, Abu Dhabi in a research collaboration with Chemical Engineering Department, University of Minnesota, USA (Prof. Michael Tsapatsis) on nanoporous materials, zeolite based catalysts/adsorbents, for hydrocarbon processing. He was a JPI Research Fellow.
