Sukla is interested in the low temperature physics --- in understanding how the cold atoms/spins/molecules behave at dilute and at strongly correlated regime; how their properties get modified in the influence of thermal fluctuations or environment (classical/semi-classical effects) --- framework of open systems, and in presence of dominant quantum fluctuations (non-classical/quantum effects)--- closed system methodologies. She studies physics at out-of-equilibrium and in presence of competing interactions by employing classical/quantum field theoretic methods using numertical and analytical (whereever possible) approaches. Besides, she is always keen to learn and develop new advanced numerical and analytical techniques to explore the above.
