Biography

Hugo Almeida is currently a Senior Bioseparation Scientist at Biotrend (S.A., Biocant Park, Núcleo 4, Lote 4, Cantanhede, Coimbra), working on downstream processing of fermentation broth, extraction, recovery and purification of bioproducts from natural sources and separation and purification of biological products. Born on 25 of June of 1982 at Switzerland, obtained his PhD degree in Technological and Engineering Sciences from Instituto de Tecnologia Química e Biológica António Xavier, Portugal, in 2017.
