Biography
PhD in Education from Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeir (2017), her doctoral thesis received both the “Capes Award for Thesis” in the area of Education and the “Grande CAPES Award for thesis Juarez Rubens Brandão Lopes”, in the major area of Human Sciences, in 2018. She has a sandwich doctorate from Tokyo Gakugei University (8 months) where she previously had a MONBUSHO Scholarship in the Teacher Training Program (2007/2009). Recently (2020), she has completed a postdoctoral internship in Educational Measures and Assessment at the Groupe de Recherche Interuniversitaire sur l'Évaluation et la Mesure en Éducation à l'aide des TIC, at the Faculté des sciences de l'éducation, at the University of Montreal, Canada, where she was previously a visiting professor (2019). She is currently an adjunct professor at the Departmento de Educação do Campo at the Federal University of Rondônia (UNIR), but she also has experience in Basic Education with the regency of Sciences and Biology, in addition to the production and adaptation of teaching material and coordination of courses. Her research is in the fields of Education and Teaching, with an emphasis on Evaluation of Educational Systems and Programs, International Comparative Evaluation, Quantitative Methods in Education, Science Teaching and Educational Inequalities. More specifically, she has experience in comparative studies in the field of education, mainly based on data from the International Student Assessment Program (PISA) carried out by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).
