Biography

Dr. Ingeniero Industrial por la Universidad de Sevilla (2010) realizo desde el año 2000 mi actividad profesional como investigador en el campo del tratamiento de las aguas dentro del Instituto Tecnológico de Canarias (ITC) - España. Mi especialidad es la desalación de aguas, en concreto la electrodiálisis, la ósmosis inversa, así como la combinación con energías renovables.

Mi trayectoria profesional se resume en el liderazgo y coordinación de proyectos y contratos de I+D+i europeos, nacionales y regionales relacionados con la desalación, especialmente haciendo uso de energías renovables.

Ph.D. Industrial Engineering and Head of the Water Department in the Canary Islands Institute of Technology (ITC - www.itccanarias.org). Extensive knowledge of desalination technologies, seawater catchment and brine discharge, technological tendencies and deep experience in assessments and test of desalination plants using renewable energies. International project Manager on desalination, driven-by renewable energies, wastewater, water quality and water management and sustainability. More than 25 scientific papers, various collaborations in books and more than 20 oral-presentations in Conferences and International Congresses. Teacher in different masters and course. Author of the patent of reverse osmosis desalination driven by solar energy (DESSOL® 2004/000568).
