Biography

Korbinian Löbmann received his PhD degree from the University of Otago, Dunedin, New Zealand in 2013. His thesis with the title ‘Co-amorphous drug formulations’ was put on the Health Sciences Divisional List of Exceptional PhD theses based on the research content, originality, quality of expression, and accuracy of presentation. After his PhD he was appointed as Assistant Professor at the Department of Pharmacy, University of Copenhagen, Denmark and obtained a position as Associate Professor in April 2017. In 2019, he co-founded the company Zerion Pharma as a spinout from the University of Copenhagen, where he is since working was Chief Scientific Officer. His research interests are in formulation and physical characterization of solid drug delivery systems and in particular the development of oral drug delivery systems for poorly water soluble drugs.
