Biography
Dr Huan Doan is currently working as a Research Fellow (Level B) at the Australian National University. Prior to this position, he held roles at the University of Bristol, starting as a Research Associate from 2019 to 2020, and subsequently as an EPSRC Doctoral Prize Fellow from 2020 to 2023. His research focuses primarily on the synthesis and characterisation of porous materials, encompassing metal-organic frameworks, zeolites, and functional silicas. He specialises in leveraging advanced manufacturing techniques such as high-pressure synthesis and nanoengineering to create materials with hierarchical porous structures and heterostructures. He harnesses these materials to address pressing challenges in sustainable development, particularly in areas of catalysis, gas separation, and energy storage.
