Jean-Christophe Bélisle-Pipon, PhD is Visiting Researcher at Petrie-Flom Center, Harvard Law School. His research focuses on the moral responsibility of those involved in commercial and promotional activities directly targeting patients, such as direct-to-consumer drug advertising. While his undergraduate background (major in physics, minor in ethics and law) was leading him to the pure sciences, his interest for health, and specifically bioethics, grew through his experience in the pharmaceutical industry. His scientific articles have been published in journals such as Bioethics, Healthcare Policy, Journal of Bioethical Inquiry, American Journal of Bioethics, Éthique et santé, and HEC Forum.
Jean-Christophe is heavily involved in the academic community. He has been nominated on the Board of Directors of Québec Health Research Fund (FRQS) and is Vice-President of the Intersectoral Student Committee of the Québec Research Fund. His researches are funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), Québec Research Health Fund (FRQS) and Québec’s SPOR-SUPPORT Unit.
