Biography

Salvatore Polizzi is an Assistant Professor of Banking and Finance at the Department of Economics, Business and Statistics, University of Palermo, Italy. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics and Statistics (University of Palermo). During his academic career, he worked for the European Central Bank and for Banca d'Italia. He held a visiting researcher position at the Bangor Business School, Bangor University, United Kingdom. He is member of the European Association of University Teachers in Banking and Finance (Wolpertinger club) and of the Italian Association of University Teachers in Banking and Finance (ADEIMF). His main research interests include bank management, bank accounting, risk management, risk disclosure and financial regulation. He has published in reputable academic journals in the fields of risk reporting and banking regulation.
