Biography

Claudia is an assistant professor at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Her research focuses on stellar evolution and the intricate connections between stars and their planetary systems. She investigates the chemical composition of stars to uncover the impact of non-standard stellar processes, such as those within their interiors, and external influences like planet engulfment. By bridging observational and theoretical approaches, she seeks to answer fundamental questions about stellar evolution, planet composition, and Galactic archaeology.

Claudia is committed to training the next generation of scientists through student supervision and is equally passionate about science outreach. She aims to share the mysteries of the universe with the public, demonstrating how science fosters teamwork, critical thinking, and perseverance.
