Biography

Born in San Pietro Vernotico (BR) on 29.09.1984, he graduated in Chemistry (1st level degree) in July 2006 with 109/110 with a thesis entitled “La farmacopea europea ed i controlli di qualita’ chimico-fisici dei radiofarmaci”. In October 2008 he obtained a Master’s degree course in Clinic, Forensic and Sport Chemistry with 110/110 cum laude with a thesis in Analytical Chemistry entitled “Analisi di integratori alimentari potenzialmente contenenti sostanze dopanti”, awarded by the Documentation Centre of Verdesport SpA (Benetton Group, Treviso) for best Master Degree thesis of the 2007/2008 Academic Year on the sport and placed in the Library of Sport “Stefano Benetton” at the Ghirada - Città dello Sport. In June 2009 he is qualified to practice as a chemist. From February 2009 to December 2010, scholarship holder at “Dipartimento di Colture Arboree” at University of Turin; he worked at instrumental analysis (HPLC-DAD and spectrophotometric system) on the main nutraceutical components found in fruits of some tree species, qualitative and post-harvest analysis and genetic analysis on chestnut, along with teaching activities in laboratory. From January 2011 to December 2013, PhD student at DISAFA of Università degli Studi di Torino. The title of PhD Thesis was “Effect of genetic, agronomic and environmental conditions on chemical fingerprint of bioactive compounds in tree-species buds used for herbal preparations: a new tool for bud-preparation standardization and quality control” (fields of research: “Natural Compound Chemistry”, ““Food Chemistry” e “Food Science and Technology”). From March 2013 to June 2013, he was visiting student at Agroscope Centre de recherche Conthey (Sion, Switzerland). Member of the Order of Doctor Chemists of Piedmont and Valle d'Aosta (Ordine dei Chimici di Piemonte e Valle d'Aosta) from February 2014. From January 2014 to March 2014, Postdoctoral Research Scholar at DISAFA (UNITO). From April 2014 to May 2018, Post-doc Research Assistant. From June, Research Technician at DISAFA (UNITO).
