Biography

Inga Margrete Ydersbond holds a PhD in political science from the University of Oslo. Here, she dealt with the EUs climate and energy policy, lobbying, political decision making and renewable energy. She is now a senior researcher at The Institute of Transport Economics. Here, she works with many topics, including organisation, regulation, electrification and sustainable transport system transformation.  A key focus for Ydersbond is the connection between political decisions, the policies that are created to attain these decisions, the implementation of those policies and their eventual outcomes. Her current projects include studying the organisation of the Norwegian rail sector, sustainable aviation and investigating into criminality in the Norwegian second-hand car market. Ydersbond has published numerous articles and reports, and participates in the public debate through op eds, presentations and debates.
