Biography
I am Run-Zi Wang, an assistant professor (PI) at Tohoku University, who received a Ph.D. in 2019 from East China University of Science and Technology. My research concentrates on interdisciplinary frontiers from modelling-driven material strength to knowledge-reinforced structural integrity. It integrates diverse methodologies including scientific experiments, material characterization, theoretical investigation and software integration. My recent research focuses on realizing active anti-damage life design of heat-resistant alloys and to enhance the creep-fatigue lifetimes of relevant structures. Recent developed life-management platform enables real-time reflections of damage resistance for critical components, providing hardware basis for next-generation engineering equipment digital twin system with active feedback capabilities. I have published over 80 high-impact journal papers, granted over 20 invent patents and received over 1800 citations, and drafted 4 national standards. My accolades include the Excellent JSPS Overseas Research Fellow award, the Young Elite Scientist Sponsorship, the Outstanding Young Researcher Award, the CPCIF-Clariant Clean Tech Award, the Hiwin Doctoral Dissertation Award, and Best Poster/Paper Awards, etc.
