Biography
From 2011 on, I undertook my undergraduate studies in Physics with Theoretical Physics at Imperial College London. Passionate about fundamental energy research, I worked as a student-intern in the Solid State Physics group on subjects related to dye-sensitized solar cells. For another internship as well as my master thesis, I joined the Center for Inertial Fusion Studies in the Plasma Physics group and specialized on modelling neutron spectra from 3D-hydrodynamic simulations of ICF implosions.
Since obtaining my masters-degree with first class honours in 2015, I am a doctoral student at the Swiss Plasma Center at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, within the Basic Plasma Physics group. My current work on the TORoidal Plasma EXperiment focuses on characterizing the non-diffusive transport of fast ions by turbulence in toroidal plasmas, with a particular emphasis on intermittent phenomena.
