Biography
Xiang Wan received the B.E. and M.E degrees in electromagnetic fields and microwave technology from Wuhan University, China, in 2007 and 2010 respectively, and received Ph.D. degree in electromagnetic field and microwave technology from Southeast University, China, in 2014. Since 2015, he joined the school of information science and engineering, Southeast University, and currently is an associate professor and a doctoral supervisor.
His research interests include programmable metasurfaces, joint radar and communication, and intelligent electromagnetic sensing. Dr. Wan has authored more than 60 academic papers which have been cited more than 4500 times, and has been authorized more than 10 national invention patents in china. He won the important achievement award of China Optics in 2016 and received first prize of military science and technology progress from Science and Technology Committee of the Central Military Commission in 2017. He was a section chairman of 2018 Metamaterials International Annual Conference. He organized an academic topic as guest editor of Frontiers in Materials. He has presided over the youth and the general funds of NSFC, the International (regional) cooperation and exchange project of NSFC, the youth and the general funds of Jiangsu Province, and a number of cooperation projects of enterprises and institutions.
