Biography

I am a Professor in the Department of Parasitology, Faculty of Medicine and Allied Sciences, Rajarata University of Sri Lanka and an Adjunct Senior Research Fellow of Monash Venom Group, Monash University. I obtained my MBBS and M.Phil from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka and PhD from Monash University, Australia. My main fields of research interest are clinical toxinology, medical entomology, herpetology and ichthyology. I am a Fellow of the Royal Society for Public Health (FRSPH) and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh (FRCP Edin).
