Biography

Dr. Zhongbao Wei received the B.Eng. degree in 2010 and the M.Sc. degree in 2013 from Beihang University in China, and Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering in 2016 from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.
He is currently a Professor of Vehicle Engineering with Beijing Institute of Technology, China. He has been a Postdoc Research Fellow with Energy Research Institute @ NTU, Nanyang Technological University from 2016 to 2018. He has authored more than 80 peer-reviewed articles. His research interests include electric vehicles, energy storage, batteries, fuel cells, and their associated management and control.
Dr. Wei has been a recipient of the Second Prize of China Machinery Industry Science and Technology Award in 2020, Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Student Abroad in 2017, Best Paper Award for Applied Energy in 2017, Best Paper Award of CCSSTA 2020, and Applied Energy Best Reviewer Award for 2017 and 2018. He serves as Associate Editor for many international journals like IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems, and IET Intelligent Transport Systems.
