Biography
Dr Erickson is a senior lecturer who is Speech Pathology Discipline Lead at La Trobe University, Melbourne, Australia. He is also a speech-language pathologist specialising in the treatment of stuttering across the lifespan. Dr Erickson has collaborated on several funded projects, and published research, relating to allied health service delivery and clinical implementation of research into practice.
Dr Erickson has published research investigating the use of the Internet to deliver stand-alone treatment to adults who stutter, a novel approach to measuring stuttering, and the impact of stuttering on adolescents and their families. In addition, he has published widely on the use of technology in the delivery of speech pathology interventions and has recently investigated the roles and practices of speech-language pathologists (SLPs) in several clinical contexts. Dr Erickson has also extensively researched telehealth competencies for health professionals.
