Biography
Prof. Toraj Mohammadi received his Ph.D. degree in chemical engineering from University of New South Wales (UNSW), Australia, in 1996. He was employed as assistant professor in Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST) in 1996. He established research and technology center for membrane processes and graduated more than 15 PhD students. He became associate professor in 2000 and professor in 2004. He has been distinguished professor since 2017. He has published more than 380 ISI papers cited more than 12000 times (h-index =70, according to Google Scholar). He was Vice-Chancellor for Research and Technology in IUST from 2015 to 2020. His research interests are membranes synthesis and applications including microfiltration, ultrafiltration, nanofiltration, reverse osmosis, forward osmosis, membrane bioreactor, desalination, water and wastewater treatment, pervaporation, gas separation, and liquid membranes.
