Biography

I am currently employed as the project coordinator for the rePhotoSA citizen science project in southern Africa. The project is based on the theory that our climate is changing, which has the potential to affect vegetation changes on the ground. These changes are often compounded and/or exacerbated by various human activities. In order to understand the changes in an environment that have/ are happening, we need to understand what the environment looked like before. We can do this through repeat photography by looking at historical photographs of a landscape and returning to the same site and retaking a photograph in the exact (or as close as possible) location as the original photograph.
