Biography

Dr. Bradley D. Bock (Pr.Eng) is a senior lecturer at the University of Pretoria's Department of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering.

He is an experimental researcher within the field of heat transfer, with a primary focus on phase change heat transfer processes such as boiling, evaporation and condensation.

He has investigated these processes within the refrigeration, algaculture and solar energy industries.

Current topics of research include improving falling film heat transfer in refrigeration systems with nanostructures, improving pool boiling through enhanced 3D printed structures, thermosyphons for solar power generation and investigating next generation algae photobioreactors.
