Biography

Dr. Yuqiu Chen is a postdoctoral researcher within the Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering department at the University of Delaware. His research expertise encompasses a wide array of areas including property modeling, solvent design, process design and optimization, techno-economic and life-cycle assessments.

Throughout his academic journey, Dr. Chen's research interests have flourished, stemming from the transformative experiences during his PhD studies at the Technical University of Denmark. Collaborating with prominent figures in academia, including Prof. Rafiqul Gani for Process Systems Engineering, Prof. Georgios M. Kontogeorgis for Thermodynamics, and Prof. John M. Woodley for Biotechnologies.

Presently, Dr. Chen is engaged in a dynamic collaboration with Prof. Marianthi Ierapetritou, Prof. Raul Lobo, and Prof. Dionisios G. Vlachos. Their collaborative efforts are concentrated on the industrial-scale assessment of pioneering and sustainable technologies aimed at biomass-driven molecule production.
