Biography

Luz Rello has a PhD in computer science and a degree in linguistics. Her research focused on applying Artificial Intelligence to improve education and accessibility has received several awards such as the Princess of Girona Award or Innovators under 35 by the MIT Technology Review.

Currently, she is Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Systems and Technology at IE Business School, consultant for Google, and has published two books, some of them with Planeta (Overcoming Dyslexia) which already has 7 editions.

In 2015 she founded the company Change Dyslexia, integrating her research results into the ML based platform Dytective. Dytective has become the most used platform for dyslexia in Spanish implemented in hundreds of public schools in Spain (over 350.000 children). Recently, it received the UNESCO award for the use of AI in education, being the first Spanish institution to receive this recognition.
