Biography
At NIBR since 2008, Denise Yates has leads effort focused on developing the strategy and implementation of clinical imaging in the early phase proof of concept human trials for the Translational Medicine Cardiovascular, Respiratory and New Indications groups. In her role, she has lead the collaborative efforts with expert imaging centers in Radiology and Cardiology departments of high profile academic centers to implement state of the art technologies for robust Phase II clinical trials. In a role as Therapeutic Area head for Biomarker Development Cardiovascular and Metabolism she supports the biomarker development portfolio for cardiovascular trials that includes genomic, proteomic, metabolic and novel technology approaches. Prior to joining Novartis, Dr. Yates was a faculty member of Department of Radiology, Massachusetts General Hospital at the Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging and Assistant Professor, Harvard Medical School since 1999. She has served as scientific reviewer for the American Heart Association, journal reviewer for Circulation, CV imaging and has authored over 60 publications and conference proceedings.
