Biography
Currently, I’m an Assistant professor of Animal Genomics in the Department of Animal Sciences at Auburn University.
I am an Animal Scientist and Ph.D. in Science with an emphasis in Genetics and Evolution from the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), Brazil.
My independent research program is inspired by both my graduate and postdoctoral studies and lies in understanding the regulatory mechanisms of complex traits in livestock species through the lens of genomics. I am particularly interested in applying functional genomics and systems biology methods to gain insights into the genomic basis of fetal development and economically important traits in livestock species. Furthermore, I am interested in bioinformatics and biostatistics tools to carry holistic analyses of multi-omics profiles and data integration applied to complex phenotypes in farm animals.
