Biography

Benjamin N. B. Alexander is an associate professor of management and the director of MBA Programs at the Orfalea College of Business, California Polytechnic State University. His research focuses on stakeholder management, collective action, and research methods, interests which have motivated projects on social entrepreneurship, family firms, organizational trauma, and business education. His research has been published in outlets such Organizational Research Methods, the Journal of Business Research, The Journal of Applied Behavioral Science, Nonprofit Management & Leadership, Family Business Review, and Research in Organizational Change and Development. He received his PhD from the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University and his MA from George Mason University. Prior to becoming an academic, he worked as a personnel psychologist.
