Biography

I have been working on fabrication of nanofibers by electrospinning technique and their applications in various fields such as photocatalysis, lithium ion batteries, tissue engineering etc. I have doped, coupled and modified nanofibers and checked them as photocatalysts. I have also been working on preparation of mixed nanofibers and synthesis of different polymers (Poly urethane, Poly vinyl alcohol, chitosan etc), silver, hydroxyapatite and checking their antimicrobial activity. In addition I have experience in the electrospinning of colloidal solutions. I have achieved many goals in the field of electrospinning, and I am interested in expanding my professional horizon by seeking new challenges within this area and explore the latest applications such as immobilization/encaptulation of bioactive cells in nanostructures. I am interested in working with preparation of nanofibers with high surface to volume ratio and exploit them in the exciting fields of polymer chemistry, material science and biotechnology.
