Biography

Dr. Rajesh Kumar Mohanty is currently working as a Lecturer (P&O) at SVNIRTAR, Cuttack since last 9 years. He has obtained his PhD doctoral degree in Interdisciplinary Sciences (Prosthetics) from CUTM, Odisha in 2022. The title of his PhD Thesis was “Design and Analysis of Polycentric Knee Joint for Transfemoral Prosthesis”. He is an “Academician” and “Clinical Researcher” with more than 12 years of Post-qualification experience. He is the Editorial Board Member of “International Journal of Childhood and Development Disorders” and Reviewer of 4 International and 2 National Journals including Journal of Yoga and Physical Therapy, Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part H: Journal of Engineering in Medicine – SCI, Journal of Neuro-infectious Diseases, Journal of Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine – SCI, JOPAI and others. He has published more than 35 Research papers in National and International Journals including publishers like ELSEVIER, Springer, Sage, Taylor & Francis, World Scientific with more than 15 papers indexed in SCI and Scopus databases. His R-Gate Score is 11.09, h-index score is 5 and i10 index is 3. He has chaired many Scientific Sessions and worked as a member of Scientific Committee for many National and State Conferences. He has been invited as a “Resource Person” in many National Conferences, Seminars, Workshops and Webinars. He has presented more than 45 scientific papers in National and International Conferences, Seminars, Workshops. He is the Paper setter and Examiner of Guru Govind Singh Indraprastha University, Tamilnadu Dr. MGR University, Utkal University, WBUHS etc and the Visiting Expert / Inspector for many Institutions for approval of Degree and Post-Graduate Courses deputed by Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). He has received many awards of National repute including the most prestigious Vice Chancellor’s Best PhD Scholar Award 2022, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Azad Education Excellence Award in 2022 and India Prime Top 100 Researchers Awards in 2021 and so on. He has received the Toppers Award (Certificate of Merit) in MPO for the academic session 2011-12 and received many a times the best scientific paper presentation award in IACPCON and OPAI National conferences. His research work on Polycentric Knee has been utility patented and product patent of the same is under process. His research interests include application of Finite Element Analysis, Prosthetic and Orthotic Bio-mechanics and Design concepts.
