Biography

Dr. Bahaudin G. Mujtaba is currently a professor of Management, International Management and Human Resources at Nova Southeastern University’s H. Wayne Huizenga College of Business and Entrepreneurship in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, United States of America. Bahaudin has been serving as a faculty member at the Huizenga School since 1996. Bahaudin was given the prestigious annual “Faculty of the Year Award” in 2011 and 2005. On February 12 2010, Bahaudin received the “Pride of HR Profession” Award at the World HRD Congress annual conference, held in Mumbai, India. Bahaudin has served as a manager, trainer and management development specialist in the retail industry for sixteen years. His areas of research are management, training, diversity management, and cross-cultural management. Bahaudin has served as Chair for national and international conferences around the globe. In 2008, he served as Conference Co-Chair for the Global Association of Business and Economic Research (GABER) in Orlando (USA) and in Bangkok, Thailand. Besides attending national events in the United States, Bahaudin has served as a speaker, visiting professor, session chair, and discussant for conferences in Xi’an Province of China, Lahore of Pakistan, Kabul of Afghanistan, Nassau of Bahama, Manaus of Brazil, Kingston of Jamaica, Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) of Vietnam, Putrajaya of Malaysia, and others.

As a researcher and an invited speaker, Bahaudin has received full or partial funding from many organizations, institutions and countries, including the following: the Higher Education Commission (HEC) in Pakistan, COMSATS Institute of Technology in Lahore Pakistan, Superior University in Lahore Pakistan, Thai Airways in Bangkok, Institute of International Studies at Ramkhamhaeng University in Thailand, St. Georges University in Grenada, Academy for Global Business Advancement World Congress, World HRD Congress in Mumbai of India, Society of Afghan Engineers (SAE) and Society of Afghan Architects and Engineers (SAAE) in Kabul of Afghanistan, Publix Super Markets, Lawrence Reagan Communication Inc., an Automotive Manufacturing firm in Knoxville Tennessee, and others.

Bahaudin is currently serving as a reviewer and section editor the Business Ethics and Leadership (BEL) journal. Bahaudin has written and published over three hundred peer reviewed journal articles (in the areas of business, change, culture, ethics, diversity, leadership, and privatization) in academic journals. Bahaudin has authored and co-authored over twenty books. Bahaudin was born in Khoshie of Logar and raised in Kabul of Afghanistan. Bahaudin can be reached at: mujtaba@nova.edu
