Biography

Dr. Richard Jiang is a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in the School of Computing & Communications at Lancaster University, UK. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA). His research interests primarily lie in the fields of Machine Learning and Neural Computing. Recently, he has been focusing on specific areas such as Ethical AI, Privacy Computing, Quantum Machine Learning, Biomedical AI, and Environmental Computing.

Dr. Jiang's research has been supported by grants from EPSRC, Leverhulme Trust, and other industry and international funds, involving over £1 million in research funding. He has supervised and co-supervised over 20 PhD students, including 9 who have successfully defended their PhDs. Additionally, Dr. Jiang has authored over 100 refereed publications and has served as the editor of several books and special issues. He actively contributes to the academic community by serving as a Program Committee member, Editorial Board member, and reviewer for various international conferences and research journals.
