Biography
Romain Jammal Abboud, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Social Work, she finished her postdoctoral studies fellow at the Institute of Educational Science and the Research Center for Education, Family Studies, and Life Course Studies at the University of Innsbruck.

Romain Jammal Abboud (Ph.D.) is an expert researcher and an academic lecturer. her research and teaching areas include Contextual and Critical Multicultural Social Work, and the welfare and health of children and families at risk in Israel on the continuum between theory and practice. She is a fellow researcher at the Institute of Educational Science and the Research Center for Education, Family Studies, and Life Course Studies at the University of Innsbruck. Within her internationals cooperation she participates in a research project funded by the Austrian and German Goverments Research Foundations (AGF & GGF). Her current research interests include: Research on the Impact of Parenting Practices on Child Development and Cross-Cultural Differences in Parenting and a Research on Identity Development of Social Workers from Different Minorities in Israel and Development of Models of Multicultural Social Work
Dr. Jammal Abboud is also a senior psychosocial therapist and supervisor with 25 professional experience in the field of social work and social work education. To name but a few: she has been the director of a parent-child center, a psychosocial therapist, a supervisor of social workers, and a lecturer, supervisor, and coordinator of academic pioneer programs at different schools of social work and education in Israel. Furthermore, in 2017 until 2023, she was invited several times to teach courses for Bachelor and Master students on culturally-sensitive social work at the School of Social Work of the Management Center Innsbruck and at the Faculty of Educational Sciences of the University of Innsbruck.
